Dupuytren disease is currently diagnosed by its look and feel. The search for a biomarker continues and with it a debate over the accuracy of diagnosis in those with nodules but no contractures. Until an accurate biomarker is found, we are guided by appearance to make the diagnosis and decide on treatment.
